Let me get my squee out of the way...ZELENKA! YAY! I love me some Radek. Wee Czech scientists do it for me, I guess. And yes, I laughed hysterically when he was molested by the climbing vine on 'roids. I need more Zelenka icons.

For the most part, I liked this episode. I like the idea of using someone to grow a hive ship. It makes sense, since it was established that the ships were biological, and it's icky. A real win/win situation. If only there was a little more snark.

Sheppard continues to rub me the wrong for some reason this season. I am hoping that they're setting it up so his hero complex bites him in the ass because, honestly, he's coming across as a douche.

And what exactly did the vine tentacles do to him? I couldn't tell. Did it get 'hold of his goodies? 'Cause that's what it kind of looked like. "Help! It's got me by the scrote!"

Carrie and I were also kinda hoping Ronon would get his dreads tangled in the tendrils. That would have been hilarious.

Not that I need obvious hilarity to ensue. I laugh inappropriately anyway.

I'd like to go on record and say that I like Keller and Woolsey. Yes, Keller can be whiney and a chicken shit and I totally would have ditched her in "Missing", but that doesn't mean I don't like her; it means I'm a bad person with a low tolerance for human interaction that does not amuse me. As a character, I like her, faults and all. I just wouldn't take her with me to Dowd's Tavern.

And Woolsey is just one of those people that you like to poke with a stick. You like to shake him up and see if he blows. It's good fun. I look forward to watching him try to adjust to life in Atlantis. Plus, I love Robert Picardo. I agree with Carrie; he's got a melodic, soothing voice and that's just gravy.

Yes, I like Beckett and Sam and I miss them (except it seems that being in stasis messes up your 'do...poor Beckett...they saved his life, but not his tresses), but I like the new guys just as well.

Two episodes in and I'm pleased with Season Five. Until a Sheppard episode. I never seem to like Sheppard episodes.


And in unrelated SGA news: Carrie was upstairs and I was downstairs watching Batman. Batman and Robin were doing one of their famous building climbs and Green Hornet and Kato popped out of one of the windows. I actually had to text message Carrie about it. True story. My geekery knows no bounds.
