Day 472: Still no department manager

whiski_sourIt's been five weeks since Sandy announced she was stepping down and we still have no new department manager.
We were first told we'd have one two Tuesdays ago. Then last Tuesday. Latest deadline was today. From talking with Dan, I think they've picked one, but haven't announced it yet.
Not that it means a whole lot since whoever they've picked has to go to another store for two weeks of training.
I think I should get paid for doing both jobs.
However, I'll not hold my breath waiting for it.
I'm gearing up to do another year of NaNoWriMo. I plan on failing less spectacularly than last year. I have a basic idea of what the story will be about, but as of right now I only have two characters and I'm gonna require a few more than that. I know I should be getting as much done beforehand as possible, but my brain has gone spastic and once again my writing and everything else related to it has suffered.
And in other news, vaccuuming makes me sleepy.
