This is your wake-up call
Jul. 28th, 2006 10:36 pmMorey called me at seven this morning. I did not answer the phone immediately. Instead I opted to wait twenty minutes before I called him back so the liklihood of me reaching through the phone and strangling him would be lessened.
He wanted me to come in today and work in accounting.
Um, no?
Dood, I got out of accounting. I got out before the switch was made. Even if I was a good person who wanted to go in on my day off I can't because I have only vague knowledge of what to do back there and I don't want to be the one responsible for things getting messed up. Things went wrong when I KNEW what I was doing so I could only imagine the destruction I'd cause going in there without proper training.
At first, I was pissed he woke me up. Then I felt a little guilty because I couldn't help him out and he sounded really pitiful. Then I felt outright annoyed because the entire reason they changed the way accounting was run so that anyone from any store could come in and run it.
So, he should have been calling someone else from another store to come help him instead of waking up the crazy chick he's half afraid of whose pain killer hasn't fully worn off yet.
Because THAT would have been the safer option.
