Am a dork...who's surprised?
Jan. 22nd, 2006 10:23 pmSpent my giftcard on Once Again by Peter Tork and James Lee Stanley and Changes by the Monkees.
And, yes, I agonized over this decision. They also had a Monkees 2002 summer tour CD that I don't have and really kinda wanted. They didn't have Monkees Present (one of the few albums I'm missing on CD...got it on vinyl though!). But they did have a whole bunch of Michael Nesmith stuff and a Blue Suede Shoes CD that looked really good.
If you couldn't guess, Peter Tork is in Blue Suede Shoes.
This year marks my 20th year as a Monkees fan. I gotta celebrate.
Bonus points if anyone can point out one of the two connections the song I'm listening to has to this post.

Date: 2006-01-23 05:49 am (UTC)2. The song Thursday's child is similar to one of the Monkees earlier hits "Saturday's Child" and even is a line in that song...
And if you love a Thursday
She's gonna break your heart,
So I'm in love with Saturday's Child
