Three days
Jan. 22nd, 2006 09:15 pmFriday after school,
winged_fire and I went out for lunch and shopping. She also gave me a birthday present: a CD, a Best Buy giftcard (which I will be spending online after posting this entry), and Never Have Your Dog Stuffed and Other Things I've Learned by Alan Alda, which I finished a few hours ago. I've adored this man since I was eleven. The book was just awesome.
Anyway, back to Friday. Lunch at Qdoba followed by shopping. OMG did I shop. I'm not much of a shopper, but this year I decided that perhaps I should be a little more girl-like and spent several hours shopping with Phe instead of the usual twenty-minutes. Still cannot be persuaded to try stuff on in the store though.
We had ice cream at some place called Cold Stone Creamery, I think. Really glad I don't frequent Bloomington much anymore 'cause that place could rival Qdoba in food addiction.
We came home and changed before going to dinner with Haley at Ted's and then headed off to bowl. After bowling was a quick stop at Whitney's for karoke (which I could not be persuaded to do...Haley's got an angel's voice and is quite popular at Whitney's and I'll be damned if I'm gonna follow her without having downed several shots of tequila-coated courage).
Yesterday, my right arm was practically useless from bowling. I got
shygirl8119's package (thanks so much! That cat book is brilliant!). My shopping also continued after work. I made my dad get me a new computer chair (something he's been saying he'd get me for two years) and I bought another pair of new shoes. I really gotta stop with the shoes. I really need to throw some out.
Today, both arms and my left leg were sore. I laid down to read after work and then I couldn't get up because my lower back decided to join my extremities in their strike. An hour on the heating pad fixed that though.
So now I'm gonna shop online with giftcard and then do something completely mindless. Mindless, pointless things that any normal person would find boring (like going through a baby name book and writing down all the Scottish names) is like meditation to me.
I'm in need of some mindlessness.

Oh and if you find any good Scottish names to go with D'Arcy you'll have to let me know! lol

Date: 2006-01-26 06:14 am (UTC)I'm totally envious of your Cold Stone Creamery goings. They have a new one in Providence and I so want to go to it!
I have this fantasy of going shopping, myself - then I go into Lane Bryant and see the eighty dollar skirt I want and consider grand larceny ;-)
