It's okay, people, I know
Jan. 17th, 2006 11:05 pmI've got one girl at work who, whenever we're discussing how she needs to lose weight (she doesn't), tells me I'm not fat.
Look, just because you expect reassurance when you make a comment about your own weight doesn't mean I'm out for the same thing when I make a comment about mine. I do it to be truthful and to be funny.
I'm one of the lucky ones. I will never have to ask another person, "Does this make me look fat?" because I KNOW IT DOES. I'm fat. No matter what I wear, I'm gonna look fat. I can wear things that downplay the fatness, but 228 pounds is still 228 pounds. However, I rock 228 pounds.
Why?
Because I KNOW I'm fat. There is no doubt. This is me. This is how I look. This is what I've got to work with and, baby, I'm gonna work it.
You little girls, just stay out of my way. Not only do I need more room, I deserve it.
