Today is Mummy's birthday. I went up there and took her the wonderful present I bought her (a t-shirt that says "Has anyone ever just hauled off and hit you?). Hung out with the nieces and played baby name games with mom. Good times, good times.

If you want to wish Mummy a happy 45th, just go over to her journal, whiskis_mom, and spam her most recent entry. Maybe that would encourage her to actually use the damn thing.

Dad's got to work the homecoming dance tonight. As per usual, Bristow will be his date.

Dad actually lit the boiler already (he usually waits until November)since it's supposed to get down below freezing tonight. While down there he discovered the water heater is leaking again. He was not amused by my suggestion to turn the basement into a swamp, complete with alligator. He obviously does not know how to see the bright side of a situation.

And, now...dinner.
