Drinking curbs my homicidal tendencies

whiski_sourCriminology just ruined my day. There was a "debate" (and I use that term very loosely) about bullies in school which quickly descended into the oblivion of stupidity and unfounded opinion (please do not back up your stance by citing talk shows as a reference...that automatically disqualifies you from intelligent thought). It took quite a bit of restraint on my part to not only keep from opening my mouth and adding to the bullshit, but also to keep myself from repeatedly banging my head on the desk until I fell unconsciousness. Thankfully, the teacher managed to change the topic before I was forced to jump on my desk and scream "I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS" before stabbing people with a pencil.
I think the most aggrevating thing about it all was that not only was the point entirely bypassed, but everyone participating was completely and totally right and if you didn't agree, well then you're just a big stupidface. And, I say that knowing full well that the worst one about the whole thing was a woman in her sixties.
No psych class today.
Went to visit Papa for a few hours and then came home to nurse my screaming headache which was either caused by sinus, stupidity, or flourescent lighting.
After my nap, I ended up talking politics with my dad when all I really wanted to do was watch this show on cross sectioning a dead body. I hate talking politics. That's why I don't do it a whole lot in my LJ. That's why I skip a lot of the political rants on my flist. It aggravates me. I know most everyone on my flist is rooting for Kerry, which is fine, but he just does not impress me. And, Bush isn't that fantastic either. In this particular election, instead of voting for the lesser of two evils, we're voting between Kang and Kodos. And, that pretty much sums up my whole stance on this year's presidential election. Kthnx.
And now I'm drinking because if I know anything, it's that booze doesn't piss me off.
Tomorrow I will do yoga and visit my nieces and everything will be right again in the world.
Except making that one contest deadline. I need to get that story done by the weekend or I'll flog myself or something. Yeesh.

Though I'm not American I am mildly concerned about who may end up president because hello? Affects other countries than just the US. I was a supporter of Kerry and then I was a supporter for Anyone But Bush and now I just don't care anymore. It's gonna suck either way because this WORLD sucks.
But I'm not pessimistic or anything.
