Psst...Gay people are getting married in Massachusettes

On CNN they're covering the gay marriages in Massachusettes and naturally they gotta interview at least one sterotypical, middle aged buzzkiller who opposes the whole deal. He said gay marriages insult "6,000 years of a precious institution".

And, then I snorted so hard half my head caved in.

I'm not debating the "6,000 years" part. I'm not debating the "institution" part (ya gotta be somewhat nuts to get hitched). It's the "precious" part I'm having a hard time swallowing.

Maybe if he had said it in a Gollum voice I'd be more inclined to agree.

Anyway, slept like shit last night. Kept waking up. At one point, I woke up and shut off my alarm. I shouldn't have done that. I missed most of a Laverne and Shirley episode that I feel would have provided me crucial information for my Dad universe.

I'm not even employed and it's a fucking Monday.

Tomorrow, I have to go pick up Hammie and bring her back down here for the day so Mummy can get some things done. I do believe we'll be going to either El Rey's or Soto's as a result. Personally, I'm hoping for El Rey's.

Having Hammie tomorrow also means I'm not going to be able to get shit done until late, which kinda sucks because I seem to be on a roll.

And, since I have to pick her up so early tomorrow, if I'm on AIM tonight, it won't be late.

Now to finish up a few things before I take the cat for a walk.

For some reason, when I read that....all I could think of was Gollum wearing a tux with Frodo in a wedding dress at his side.

If you were thinking of Gollum with the shirt, tie, and jacket with the loin cloth, I could buy it. I don't think Gollum would get married any other way.
