No one likes to be called fruit.
Mar. 26th, 2004 02:00 pmI went to bed about 1:30 this morning. At about four I wake up to dripping. My ceiling is leaking AGAIN. *sighs* I locate the leak and go to the bathroom to get a towel. Dad is up to get ready for work. I tell him that it's leaking again. He gets pissed, follows me into my room, and then turns on the light, causing me to collapse on my bed with the towel over my face. He goes and gets a huge mixing bowl, shoves the towel in it, and puts it under the drip.
I cover up and lay down. He turns out the light and leaves. Ten minutes later, I hear "bump, bump, thump, BANG, thump, bump". It's four in the fucking morning and he's fixing the roof in the fucking rain before he goes to work.
Four hours later he comes home from work and checks the leak, waking me up in the process.
I go back to sleep for a couple more hours.
Now, as odd as it may sound, my ceiling dripping onto a carpeted floor can wake me out of a deep sleep just as easily as my alarm going off. I have no idea why. I do know I was not happy with it happening at four this morning.
Hopefully, *fingers crossed* the leak truly is fixed. Otherwise, I'll be roofing sooner than I thought.
