60's Superheroes make me happy
May. 2nd, 2008 11:27 pmMy Fridays were sad when SGA concluded its season. Then I found that they were showing reruns of Batman and Green Hornet.
I've always loved Batman. I've got the movie on DVD and everything. Used to watch it obsessively everytime I went to my grandma's house (they had better cable than we did). That and The Incredible Hulk and The Greatest American Hero (other grandparents' house was A-Team, MacGyver, Knight Rider, Air Wolfe, and M*A*S*H...omg was I a child of the 80's). Batman camp is delicious and goes down smooth.
But, I never really got into Green Hornet. Carrie and I watched an episode of it since nothing better was on and I'm realized that I missed out on something truly awesome here. I had no idea what was going on, but I liked it. People actually died! I was floored. Nobody really died on Batman. Green Hornet's car is better looking. Nothing's so obviously labeled. And Kato is totally Green Hornet's utility belt, man.
My Fridays are happy again.
I've also started watching the last season of Battlestar Galactica since there's nothing else on. I think I like it. If I like it, I know it's not for the right reasons. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I'd been so successful in avoiding this show.
Dammit.
