Just a few really quick comments because I was working (but not very hard) on NaNo during the shows.
This whole episode had such an undercurrent of sadness to it. It was brilliantly played by everyone involved.
The ending slayed me. Really didn't see it coming in the sense that I didn't think Kai would actually give herself up, so to speak.
Great episode.
This episode has a thread of sadness, too. Poor Callen has been through so many foster homes that he can't remember all of the kids that he lived with. And someone sent from his past sent to warn him was killed trying to avenge his almost death.
Because Callen needs more angst in his backstory. It's not bad enough he has no first name and a one page bio sheet.
Nice wrap of his shooting, though. And Hetty gave him a family and a memory. Nice.
