The pizza scene was by far the best in terms of showing off the chemistry. Them chatting about con artists and con movies, Beckett being the grounded voice of reason. It was just so on. I like that the chemistry is just between Castle and Beckett, but everybody at the station.
Speaking of chemistry, the family dynamic gets better and better. We've seen our first Alexis flounce. Just goes to show that even though Alexis is miles more mature than her father at any age, she's still daddy's little girl and Castle will treat her as such. Martha calling it as she saw it, dispensing her own motherly wisdom in her own way, made it even better. And Alexis did take him apart beautifully. She's good.
This case was fun. Lies layered with lies. And more lies. And a disappearing CIA guy. And the victim being alive. But then not alive. This guy was no amatuer and neither was his partner. And neither was Beckett, conning Castle about liking con movies. Great fun.
