NCIS Night means ribs and giddy behavior

Yay! Ziva's back! Okay, I knew Ziva would be back, but I loved the way they rescued her. I love a good back and forth in time episode. And I like how they still had a case going, even if it was in the background. The new team member search was also a good little device.

I'm not big on pairings. You know me. But I love how it was Tony that was the catalyst to finding Ziva. He pulled his head out of his ass (the way they showed the routine both passing Tony by and eating away at him was great) and did it right (with a some help from Gibbs and Vance). It was a great rescue.

And I loved that the bad guy's weakness was Cafe-Pow.

Great opener. I'm looking forward to this season. I'm pretty sure I won't be let down.

Unless there continues to be miniscule amounts of Ducky, Abby, and Palmer. Then I will sad face.



Not a bad first episode overall. I totally called the Dad being the bad guy as soon as he called, but that's not necessarily a strike against the show because the build up before that moment was good.

Chris O'Donnell is growing on me. I roll my eyes at Callan's backstory, but we'll see what they do with it. I like the buddy action between Callan and Sam. It still feels very new, but I'm sure that shiny will wear off as the season goes on and the real chemistry develops and shines.

I know the focus is on Callan and Sam, but I'm looking forward to getting to know the other characters. It's obvious they're trying really hard not to carbon copy the original in terms of this is the Gibbs character, this is the Tony character. I hope they use well who they have.

I love Heddy. She looks like that super hero costume maker from The Incredibles and that pleases me immensely. I hope we see more of her.

This show like a new pair of jeans, but they're the same brand I always buy. I know I'm going to like them, I just have to wait until they get broken in before I'm really comfortable.

Hell, they had me at NCIS and LL Cool J. Giving it a chance is a no-brainer.

I can't wait to see what they do with it.


In other news, I am now in possession of hours of Bruce Campbell, thanks to one_more_cherry. There's a marathon in my future. I can feel it.
