Carrie, Damon, and I watched the two hour pilot. I have no idea if it was good or bad, I just know that I liked it and probably for all the wrong reasons.
I'm pretty meh on Helen Magnus, Ashley Magnus, and Wil Zimmerman. I'm in love with Henry, though. And John Druitt was pretty awesome. Christopher Heyerdall can rock a bad guy (he plays Todd the Wraith on SGA, too).
Fun thing about the casting...it's like a SG-1/SGA who's who. Besides Amanda Tapping and Christopher Heyerdall, there was also Kavan Smith, Chuck Campbell, and Ryan Robbins that I noticed off hand. And Kandyse McClure from BSG, just to add a little variety to the mix.
Okay, I was amused by it. Notice I didn't say surprise. Two SG-1 vets are doing the show after all.
I was amused by a lot on the show, actually, and I don't think I was supposed to be. Hey, when there's a Sleestak wrestling with Chaka, I'm going to laugh accordingly, okay?
It wasn't a bad pilot and I'm hoping that since we've got much of the setup out of the way, it'll move along a little quicker.
I'm still going to laugh at inappropriate times, though. You can't change who I am, man.
As Sanctuary was two hours and overlapped with my usual Batman/Green Hornet hour, I ended up watching my 60's crack when it repeated. Yeah, it's crack. I can't give it up. So, I'll be late to LJ on Fridays now.
Not that anyone cares. But in case you do, don't rush to put my face on a milk carton on Fridays. Okay? Okay.
