Happy birthday,
butterflyflames. I hope it was a good one, Babydoll.
Stella is getting braver about going outside. She still needs an escort, both to "save" her and to make sure she stays in the yard.
Stella's favorite thing to do outside (and inside, for that matter) is chase bugs. And we've got a lot. But if things start to get slow, a few well thrown pebbles can keep it lively. She'll get her tail whipping around and she'll be pouncing on the things I can't see (unless it's a pebble I've thrown) and then for absolutely no reason apparent to any bipeds, she'll go racing around the yard and run up a tree.
Sometimes that cures the frenzy; other times, she'll jump down from one tree just to run across the yard and up another one.
It's hilarious.
And that's how I spent an hour of my afternoon instead of doing something more productive.
It was so worth it.
