Cats make a lousy weather gauge.

It's raining outside. My cat is sleeping on my bed in front of an open window. Pete will move if it begins to rain on her and then I'll know to shut the window quickly, right?

Thankfully, I learned long ago not to rely on my cat to know when to shut my windows during the rain.

I learned the hard way, but I only had to learn once.
