Food is always in season around here
Feb. 18th, 2009 10:06 pmThey've got a new dessert at Ted's Garage, called The Rolls Royce (all of the food is named for cars or mechanic terms). It's a layered short cake with strawberries, peaches, pecans, and sweet cream icing.
Carrie says that it's a "summer" dessert.
I say it's a perfect any time dessert. Even if it's not summer, it'll make you think of summer. What's not to like about that?
Oh, and yes, it was so very, very good. My biggest concern was the icing (I do not like icing for the most part) and the whole thing being too sweet for me (not really big on super sweet stuff either), but the icing was really light and the tartness of the strawberries gave it all a nice balance.
A+...will eat again.
