I don't like politics. I don't like to talk about politics. Politics make my nose bleed (and your nose will likely bleed if you attempt to discuss them with me).
However, since it's an election year (I know this because it's fucking up TV something serious), I feel it's necessary to state my voting choice so I will only have to do it once and that will cover me for the next few months. I'll just tell them to read my LJ and I'll read their blog later.
To be clear, I am not a democrat or a republican or anything in between. I find it really kind of ridiculous that the system is so insistent that our loyalties be divided when we're really all in the same damn boat (and it's sinking, fuckers).
Come November, I'll be voting for Obama. Here's why:
I can't vote for McCain because he has a funny shaped head (this ruled him out in the primaries). Also, I find it suspect that his VP is being pushed more than he is. That's some shady doin's.
Speaking of his VP, even if McCain didn't have a funny shaped head, I wouldn't vote for him because Palin named her kid Bristol. That's just an offense to nature.
I'm voting for Obama because if he wins, his seat will be vacant in the Senate, which means good ol' Governor Rod might take his place, and if he does, HE WILL BE OUT OF MY STATE AND WE CAN HAVE A GOVERNOR WHO KNOWS THE FUCKING CAPITAL OF ILLINOIS IS NOT CHICAGO.
So, yeah, that's my voting logic for this year. I'll be voting for Obama.
Unless there's a third party canidate with a rockin' name like Feldon McCockslapper. Then that dood totally gets my support.
