I think I was in high school when I got my current TV set. Little 13 inch thing that replaced my old 13 inch hand me down I had before. Needless to say, it's getting old. And so is the remote it came with. The power button has been giving me fits for over a year and now some of the number buttons are having issues. The two button doesn't work anymore. How does a two stop working? Anyway, I may be in the market for a new remote. Or a new TV. Or both.
But first I will try new batteries. Because that's cheap and logical and I just now thought of it.
My bank account is very happy that I mull things over to the point of asphyxiation before I buy things. Sometimes the thought train is on the tracks, but the cars aren't in the right order.
Speaking of new things, I got something in the mail about upgrading my cellphone. It's been about two years since I got it, I guess and that's about how long they let you go before they start prodding you to get a new one.
I'm seriously considering it. I looked online and there are a number of phones I could get for free or damn cheap. Free or damn cheap is good. But I don't like most of them. Do you people seriously need cellphones that play music? Isn't that what your iPod is for? I was never hip.
Anyway, I did find one that I consider acceptible and because I'm almost always a grown up when it comes to my money, I'll be going to my local cellphone shiller and ask a bunch of questions about the deal I was offered and about the phone to see if I want to go through with it. My old phone works perfectly fine (okay, fine for me...Carrie thinks it's lacking...she thinks all my shit is lacking, to be honest) and I don't mind keeping it around a few more years as long as it works.
At the end of all of this, we'll see. Maybe new cellphone and definietly new batteries in the remote.
It's almost a plan.
