Carrie had an eye doctor appointment today, but it got canceled because the doctor had an emergency. I made appointments for us to get hair cuts instead since we both desperately needed a trim. I feel so much better now.
We told Carla (our hairdresser and my surrogate mother) about our plans to go to DragonCon. When she found out the Ghost Hunters were going to be there, she asked me to get their autographs for her. Hee! Her fawning was very cute.
I started cutting "Spillway" again this afternoon (I left it be for awhile after the initial cut). It's frustrating trying to figure out what to keep and what to save. Unless it's just absolutely impossible to get it down to 2,000 words without losing the story, I'm going to do it. It's good revisioning practice. Sometimes you have to cut what you really love.
As soon as I manage it, I'll be sending it off. Gotta get the ball rolling somewhere.
