I spent a couple of hours today rereading "Hillbilly Hunt" and "The Backroom", making revision notes on them. It'd been awhile since I finished them so I decided to see if I still liked them.
I don't.
I actually didn't anticipate any notes on "Hillbilly Hunt" because I'd already revised it twice, but when I started reading it, I realized it wasn't nearly as good as I remembered it. So it got a few notes, nothing major.
"The Backroom" is basically going to be rewritten. It's...disappointing.
The question is am I ever going to be satisfied? Probably not, but I know I will come to the point where I'll just throw my hands up and call it good enough and move on.
My dad bought a new grill. It's like the Cadillac of grills. Temperature settings and push button start and burners on the side. A true monument to outdoor culinary exploits.
Tomorrow, I'll be using it to cook dinner.
If I live, I'll tell the tale.
I don't.
